Reflection Paragraph
The most important facts that I learned where that Law Enforcement officers are always on the look out making sure that their community is safe and that everyone is following the law. The most surprising to me was that Law Enforcement officers get are intitled to a lot of benefits or good benefits when they retire. I'm not sure that I have any questions left to ask, but if I did I would ask what does it mean to someone to work in Law Enforcement? Another question that I would ask would be what are some everyday activities that obtain to Law Enforcement? My feelings towards my topic now would be that I am excited to have my Senior Project on time and that it reminds me that I am nearing closer to graduation day by day.
Question # 8
Police help their community to help prevent crime and address social order problems. Throughout the world today, communities are becoming involved with their police partners. There are a numerous community problems that the community police are looking out for and are correcting. The safety issues involve vandalism and break-ins. There is also youth gangs and violence and children's safety. During or being in a nuisance activity is being very noisy people or vehicles. In the neighborhood appearance there is a issue with graffiti, littering, or unkept buildings. Also there are traffic problems like speeding or wreck less driving or improper parking. Police or Law Enforcement help everyone. They help our youth by communicating with them or by listening to their problems or being involved in solutions. They help our elderly by listening and helping to their needs. For our Business Community they are involved in community problems. Also for people who are in need by addressing their issues (" www.rgpf").

Question # 7
While police officers are only required to work a fourty-hour week, police tend to work overtime. They often work nights and weekends, as shifts are necessary in order to maintain twenty-four hour protection. During large investigations, police officers are usually required to work longer hours. At all times, whether on or off duty, they are expected to be armed and ready to state academy where training will include classroom instruction and experience areas such as firearms, self-defense, traffic control, and emergency response. Continuing education and training helps officers and detectives perform better at their jobs, and both are essential to job promotion. Higher salaries are almost always awarded to those with higher degrees. Police officers can be elected into supervisor roles as sheriff and deputy's. Positions requiring similar skill sets as police officers include investigators, correctional officers, security guard, and surveillance officers (" www.salary.com"). These are all ways for movement and advancement in the work force of Law Enforcement.
Question # 6
There are four basic ways to get rewarded in Law Enforcement. The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupation Employment Statistics show the annual wage for Law Enforcement. Their is also the supplemental pay. Shift differential pay for time worked on nights and weekends. Longevity pay based on years of service. Their is also uniform allowances. The benefits in addition above average salaries, the benefits have retirement packages. The insurance coverage options that usually exceed by private employers. If you start early, you can retire in your forties and start a new career while still drawing from the police pension. Other agencies allow you to further your education while maintaining full time employment (" discover police.org").
